From delicious fresh bread, French mustards, pasta, French cheese, terrines, pates and without forgetting their fantastic vienoiseries.
Try our amazing fresh baguette sandwiches (ham or roast beef with French mustard and salad, French brie with homemade apple chutney and salad, salami with cornichons and salad, and all the special baguettes on the day

A passion for food
The idea
Le Sel Maldon’s Petite French Deli, aims to bring the wonderful tastes of France’s delicious selection of food. The fresh and selected ingredient allows them to create specialized French style dishes ranging from French cheeses to charcuterie goods and many other options.
The creation
The owner Serge and Claudine hail from France and created this little French Deli in 2015.The idea came after both decided they needed a change of life style and moved to Maldon.
The vision
The vision was to create a typical French style café/deli where people could come and enjoy the flavors of France and absorb the sound of French music and great hospitality.

Truly Provencial

Over the years Le Sel has developed and grown to include a French Style Bistro. The owners created once a month dinner called “A Notre Table” which aimed to bring people together for a long table dinner.
The idea was to do simple clean and delicious seasonal dishes using local produce wherever possible and a mixture of local and French wines. The menu changes each month and booking are essential as spaces are limited.
